Extra Curricular Activities
These Include: French Club, Spanish Club, Speech and Drama Club, Computer Club, Piano, Violin, Chess and Draughts club and holiday Sports weeks. |

Children may take individual lessons in piano or violin or small group lessons in violin. These
will be billed termly in advance.

Chess and Draughts Club meets on Fridays during
after lunch play, for children aged 6 years and over. There
is no charge for this club.

French Club
This is a very popular club run by a native French-speaking
teacher. There are themed topics, depending on the seasons and
children's interests, including nature, fruit and vegetables,
families, Christmas, Easter, holidays and picnics.
Children will learn words and phrases connected with the topic,
and also play games, learn songs, take part in role play activities
and make relevant items. They are often offered French foods
to taste. Each child will receive a written report and be given
a folder of their work to take home at the end of the year.
French club takes place during lunch break and is billed termly
in advance.
Spanish Club
We now offer a Spanish Club on Tuesdays, from 3.45pm to 4.15pm, open to everyone (child and adult) in the community, not just Glenhurst children.
Dancing
Now that we have expanded our Nursery classes and have welcomed babies to Glenhurst, we are sorry to say goodbye to Miss Vanessa Searle and the Rochelle Ballet School. Ballet classes are now held at Warblington School in Southleigh Road, Havant. If any new customers would like to contact Miss Searle, then her number is 07754 001970. |
