We are committed to the highest standards of education and childcare in a happy atmosphere where children can develop their self-confidence through play. We follow the Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum for children in our Nursery, Rising 3 Class and Pre-School.
Glenhurst provides a fun and stimulating educational start in a safe, healthy and happy environment, to suit the needs of the individual child. We encourage good manners and behaviour, and our children are taught by example to become thoughtful, caring individuals, leaving the Pre-School confident and ready for school.
Our Nursery and Pre-School children learn through a play-based Early Years curriculum which includes Jolly Phonics and Montessori educational activities, arts and crafts, music and singing, stories, games and sports, gardening, cooking and ICT. The children enjoy regular local outings and seasonal events such as the Christmas party, Summer Family Fun Day and Sports Day. All meals are freshly prepared on the premises, using healthy ingredients. You can use any form of childcare voucher to pay for any of our services (Edenred, Computershare Vouchers, 4-Care, Sodexho Pass, Kids Unlimited etc).
Glenhurst Nursery and Pre-School is OFSTED registered to claim the enhanced Pathfinder Early Years Grant for you for three educational terms per year, which gives you 15 free hours of care and education per term time week from the term following your child's third birthday.
We are delighted to be able to offer a Breakfast, Afterschool and Holiday Club service to parents whose children attend Fairfield Infant and Bosmere Junior schools in Havant. If you would like further details of these services please contact us for an information pack.
Parents and carers of babies and toddlers are welcome to come along to our Play Mornings, held on Fridays during Glenhurst term times from 10-11am in the Nursery. The Play Mornings are £1 per family, refreshments are provided and there is no need to book. Please click here for details. |
