We regard parents as partners and discuss their children's development regularly as well as supporting them in difficult times. We treat every child as an individual, planning for their individual needs and providing meaningful interaction so that they thrive and are enabled with the skills necessary for school. |
Thank you for your interest in Glenhurst Nursery and Pre-School.
 Glenhurst cares for children from 3 months old to school age, from 7.45am to 6.00pm, for 50 weeks of the year (excluding UK Public Holidays and two separate closure weeks). We are committed to the highest standards of childcare in a happy atmosphere where children can develop their self-confidence through play. We follow the Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum.
Glenhurst provides a fun and stimulating start in a safe, healthy and happy environment, to suit the needs of the individual child. We encourage good manners and behaviour, and our children are taught by example to become thoughtful, caring individuals, leaving the Pre-School confident and ready for school.
All Glenhurst staff have relevant childcare qualifications, and Glenhurst Nursery and Pre-School actively encourages and supports all staff to gain further qualifications and skills.
We offer the Early Years Education funding for 2, 3 and 4 year olds, which gives your child 15 free hours of care and learning per term time week.
We also offer a Breakfast, Afterschool and Holiday Club service to parents whose children attend Fairfield Infant School and Bosmere Junior School. Please contact us if you would like further details of these services.
We hold Friday Play Mornings during term times, from 10-11am. If you are thinking of a place for your baby, toddler or Pre-Schooler, you are welcome to come along to meet us and enjoy an hour’s play. The cost is £1 per family and there is no need to book in advance. |
